If you are having a problem with Social Security, Medicare, Veterans or military affairs, immigration, U.S. Passports, or other issues involving a federal government agency, my office welcomes the chance to help.
My Constituent Services staff can help you understand your rights and responsibilities relative to various federal programs and help you work through a problem you may have with a federal agency. Acting as a liaison between you and the federal government, my staff and I can often help you answer questions, find resources, or resolve problems. While we cannot ask an agency to circumvent its rules, force it to decide a question in your favor, or change a decision that is already final, we can make inquiries about the status of your situation and review the steps taken thus far to ensure your case is being handled properly.
If you need assistance, please complete and return your Privacy Release Form to my San Francisco office (address and contact information below). Due to provisions of the 1974 Privacy Act, I must have your written authorization before any personal information may be disclosed from a government agency. Once we receive and process the completed Privacy Release Form, we will send you a letter of acknowledgement that includes the name of the assigned staff member and our office’s course of action.
We look forward to the opportunity to assist our California residents cut through the red tape and solve problems.
